The Ghost and the Gun
marking the company’s first narrative feature film involvement.
“Seldom do we get to see the consequences of World War II in Asia,” stated Director Tiwari. “This is what attracted me to this project—a opportunity to depict an era in history that tends to be overlooked. While the story unfolds against the background of Britain’s departure from Southeast Asia, at its core lies the exploration of how individuals grapple with trauma and guilt. Although visible wounds inflicted by war might eventually recover, their psychological harm remains perpetual.”
Dasgupta commented, “Creating a movie featuring intricate characters and deep emotions necessitates an exceptional caliber of actors, and we are privileged to have assembled this level of talent.”
Bo Holmgreen, the founder of Viking Sunset Studios, expressed his excitement about bringing this spectacular film to Bali. He mentioned they integrate cutting-edge equipment along with the biggest covered sound stage located directly at the shoreline. Additionally, they offer an extensive array of settings featuring jungles, rivers, and palm trees near their outdoor lots, allowing them to place sets conveniently close to the studios while minimizing crew travel.

Ghost and the Gun
This is precisely the type of narrative thatMisfit thrives on—a tale that is bold, unshared, and profoundly human. Such stories hold significant value. They delve into underrepresented narratives and reveal fresh perspectives on struggle and unity. We couldn’t be more thrilled to aid in bringing this critical and potent story to light.
