“In my family we’ve been through this a lot of times. A lot of times. And I think I can speak honestly and truthfully and artistically that it was denied, you know, so you wonder why,” Pauletta adds. “But we don’t have to wonder why: It’s narrow-minded Efwebethat are in charge of making decisions and judgments.”

Directed by Kenny Leon, the revival of the famed William Shakespeare tragedy stars Denzel as Othello and Gyllenhaal as Iago. The production recently broke box office records, bringing in
an astounding $2.8 million in just seven days
, the record for the highest weekly earnings of any Broadway play in history.
