Jodie Sweetin will head up the Lifetime drama titled “Dateless to Dangerous: My Son’s Secret Life,” which is scheduled to debut this summer.
The movie centers around a family dealing with the emergence of incel culture, particularly impacting young males. The actor known from “Full House” will head the cast as Noelle, a recently divorced mother. Her children, Miles (played by Alexander Elliot from “Locke & Key”) and Haley (portrayed by Nikki Roumel from “Ginny and Georgia”), must cope with significant shifts in their daily existence.
To reconnect with her brother following their parents’ divorce, Haley assists Miles in winning over the attention of some female students at his school; however, this leads to significant embarrassment for him instead. Observing these developments, Noelle begins noticing disturbing shifts in her child’s behavior—increased rage, withdrawal, and aggressive animosity directed towards her, Haley, and other females at the educational institution. As Miles becomes increasingly ensnared in the harmful ideology of incel subculture, his disdain for women intensifies overall. In response, both Noelle and Haley attempt to intervene and guide him away from descending further along this perilous route.
Produced by Neshama alongside FOX Entertainment Studios for broadcast on Lifetime, the movie “Dateless to Dangerous: My Son’s Secret Life” is scheduled to premiere on June 21st. The film will be directed by Stefan Brogren based on a script penned by Caitlin English, Gary Entin, and Edmund Entin. Executive producers include Fernando Szew, Hannah Pillemer, Larry Grimaldi, and Megan Ellstrom from FOX Entertainment Studios as well as Arnie Zipursky, Dayna Zipursky, and Suzanne Berger of Neshama Entertainment.
