As the residence of both the Universal Studios Tram Tour and an active Universal Studios backlot, Universal Studios Hollywood holds a distinctive position to pay homage to their
Universal Pictures
Summer blockbuster movies from both past and present will be featured during The Mega Movie Summer event as part of regular admission tickets. This festival offers themed attractions, picture-taking opportunities, along with exclusive food items and goods available for purchase beginning Friday, June 13 until Sunday, August 10, 2025.

Jurassic World
The Ride with Mosasaurus Splash
In conjunction with the release of
Jurassic World Rebirth
in cinemas starting July 2,
Jurassic World
The Ride is set for an upgrade with a terrifying Mosasaurus roar just before the final plunge. It will also feature four new Spitter dinosaurs along the path and water geysers that will drench visitors as they brave the sweltering summer heat.

Aside from the attraction in the Lower Lot, there will be an enormous photo opportunity featuring a Spinosaurus dinosaur, a new interactive creature freshly introduced.

And introducing a brand-new adventure character, inspired by the latest movie. Additionally, there will be a dinosaur scavenger hunt centered around those small but fearsome creatures, the Compsognathus dinosaurs.
There will also be a surge of newcomers.

Merchandise will be available when The Jurassic Café offers a selection of new prehistoric dishes. Additionally, check out the new cocktail options (available only for guests over 21) and mocktails at Isla Nubar.

Golden Anniversary of
Jaws
Do not hesitate to return to swimming this summer as
Jaws
, Steven Spielberg’s summer blockbuster classic, turns 50-years old on June 20, 2025. Universal Studios Hollywood will celebrate by bringing back their iconic hanging shark for a larger-than-life dimensional sculpture photo op. There will also be character meet and greets with film favorite characters Captain Quint and Chief Brody.

If you have a preference for seafood, you’ll find the Amity Island Cafe—a temporary dining spot—serving up dishes such as Lobster Rolls, Vegan Crab Cake Sandwiches, Fish and Chips, Fish and Chicken baskets, Shark Bait Burgers, Shark Fin Funnel Cakes, Amity Island Puddings, and Amity Beach Lifeguard Donuts. Additionally, guests aged 21 years and over can enjoy The Shark Bite cocktail, along with the non-alcoholic Amity Open Water drink option.

Following the triumph of Universal Fan Fest Night,
Back to the Future: To Hill Valley Again
Experience the backlot, Mega Movie Summer will extend the film’s 40th anniversary celebration focused around Mel’s Diner located on the Upper Lot.
Doc Brown, Marty McFly, and Einstein the dog will be present for fan photo opportunities alongside the iconic DeLorean time machine. Additionally, Mel’s Diner will offer the Back to the Future themed menu featuring items such as the Flux Capacator Patty Melt, Time Machine Pastrami Melt, Doc Brown’s Chicken Pot Pie, Outatime Cookie, Time Traveller’s Milkshake, Flux Capacator Mocktail, and Wake-Up Juice Cocktail.
