The franchise is set to become much more vibrant as Peacock has greenlit an animated adaptation of his live-action comedy series and movies.
MacFarlane will return as the voice actor for the profanity-spewing teddy bear, Ted, and will serve as an executive producer for each episode.

Kyle Mooney is also set to join the cast as the voice of Apollo, with Liz Richman portraying Ruth.
The series originates from UCP (part of Universal Studio Group) along with production companies Fuzzy Door and MRC. Additional executive producers include Erica Huggins, Alana Kleiman, Jason Clark, Aimee Carlson (representing Fuzzy Door), and Claudia Katz (from Rough Draft).
Following the successful first season of the live-action comedy, the animated adaptation follows.
Ted
Launched in January 2024, this series set new records by becoming Peacock’s most-viewed original content so far. For over two consecutive months, it also claimed the top spot among original streaming comedies in the U.S., per Nielsen ratings. The show has been greenlit for a second season recently.
MacFarlane is represented by WME, Jackoway Austen, and his manager Joy Fehily. Wahlberg has agents at Leverage, WME, and Sloane Offer. Seyfried works with Innovative Artists and Frankfurt, Kurnit, Klein & Selz. Barth is affiliated with Jackoway Austen for representation. Mooney is looked after by Rise Management and UTA.
