Kyle Mooney (

Little America

Notably, Richman appeared in the prequel film where she played Polly, who was classmates with both John and Ted during their high school days; however, there appears to be no connection between Ruth and Richman’s previous character.

spinoff series

What will the
Ted
animated series be about?

The plot specifics are being kept under wraps at the moment, but it’s logical to assume that the spin-off project occurs sometime following the events depicted in the original storyline.
Ted 2,
considering the cast focuses on the adult versions of the characters.

Ten years ago during summertime, the highly anticipated movie sequel hit theaters where Ted struggled to overcome his identity as an inanimate entity and gain fundamental rights under the law following his marriage to Tami-Lynn. This legal dispute leads Ted and John—his lifelong friend (“Thunder Buddies for Life”)—to team up with lawyer Sam Jackson (played by Seyfried) to fight their case.

MacFarlane — who crafted a highly successful entertainment career through well-loved animated series such as
Family Guy
and
American Dad!
(both of which are still on the air)

will serve as writer and executive producer alongside co-showrunners Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh. Erica Huggins, Alana Kleiman, Jason Clark, Aimee Carlson, and Claudia Katz are also executive producers.
