Keith Urban
was at the heart of an all-star tribute performance by
Chris Stapleton
,
Brothers Osborne
and
Megan Moroney
As he formally received the ACM Triple Crown Award during the ACM Awards ceremony on Thursday evening (May 8).
Moroney was the first to appear on stage, adorned in shimmering white attire as she performed Urban’s song “Stupid Boy” while wearing a sparkling guitar draped across her shoulder.
The cameras then shifted focus towards Stapleton, capturing him as he performed a soulful version of “Blue Ain’t Your Color.” While he was singing, Urban could be seen cheering and applauding enthusiastically from where he stood among the audience.
During the performance, Nicole Kidman, who is his spouse, wrapped her arms around Urban and sang along with the lyrics.
In conclusion, Brothers Osborne added their distinctive rock twist to Urban’s classic early-hit “Where the Blacktop Ends,” causing the audience to rise as they concluded the homage with a thrilling finale.
“Get your a– up onstage,” singer T.J. Osborne told Urban as they neared the end of the song.
Therefore, Urban got into an incredible one-of-a-kind guitar session with John Osborne from Brothers Osborne.
“Firstly, Chris, Megan, T.J., John, thank you very much; that’s incredible. And to the band, thanks as well,” Urban stated during an acceptance speech where he quickly expressed appreciation for every member of his family and his team.
He ended his team onstage by looking forward to his High and Alive World Tour, which kicks off this month.
Only a select group of top-tier country music stars qualify for the prestigious Triple Crown Award. To be honored with this accolade, musicians must secure wins in three categories—New Artist of the Year, Artist of the Year, and Entertainer of the Year—at the Academy of Country Music Awards over their career.
With this new title, Urban joins the ranks of artists including
Miranda Lambert
,
George Strait
,
Dolly Parton
and
Brooks & Dunn
, all of whom have been celebrated as Triple Crown honorees at shows past.

However, the ACM does not confer a Triple Crown recipient annually; in reality, the most recent honoree was at the 2010 ceremony, when
Carrie Underwood
was renowned for achieving Triple Crown status.
This year,
Luke Combs
He just might become part of that exclusive club of Triple Crown-winning artists. He had previously claimed the New Male Artist and Male Artist honors at the ceremony, and he’s currently vying for the Entertainer of the Year award this time around.
Urban’s homage is a component of the show’s landmark 60th anniversary celebration.
The 2025 ACM Awards will be streamed live on Amazon Prime Video from the Ford Center in Frisco, Texas.
Reba McEntire
(an individual who has won theTriple Crown herself!) is emceeing the event.
Keep in mind: The optimal way to enjoy the ACM Awards is by watching it on television, while having ToC available on your phone.
