(Cynthia Watros) and Brook Kerr as Portia’s scheme to administer drugs
Drew
(Cameron Mathison) had planned to bring down the politician using a prostitute, think again. Since Drew found out he was drugged with ketamine and Brad (Parry Shen) directed him towards Portia, it appears inevitable that Drew will soon seek vengeance.
Under typical conditions, Drew would simply have Anna (Finola Hughes) and the PCPD apprehend Portia and then trace her accomplices. Nevertheless, Drew has transformed into the shrewdest individual in Port Charles, leading us to think he might leverage this situation for goals beyond mere vengeance—specifically, seeking power. He likely feels that incarcerating Portia isn’t the ideal path toward achieving these ambitions. Rather, Drew could opt for a strategy involving coercion to secure substantial gains, though this wouldn’t involve coercing Portia directly.
Drew had previously attempted to play puppet master with Portia as her marionette. Using the fact that Portia manipulated Heather’s (Allie Woods) medical records, he aimed to use this against her, hoping it would compel Curtis (Donnell Turner) to secure favorable media attention through Aurora Media. However, whenever Drew tried to influence Curtis, Curtiss ignored his spouse’s “advice,” leaving Drew extremely frustrated.
Given these circumstances, we believe there’s a strong possibility that Drew might choose to blackmail Curtis instead. We envision him approaching Curtis straightforwardly with evidence of his spouse’s transgressions. Once Curtis is sufficiently shocked, Drew would then threaten to incarcerate Portia and have her dismissed from her position unless Curtis complies fully with his directives. Under such conditions, it seems probable that Drew seeks Curtis’ assistance in generating favorable publicity for himself while simultaneously denigrating
Sonny
(Maurice Benaud). Furthermore, Drew might persuade Curtis to assist him in reclaiming control of Aurora from
Michael
(Chad Duell).
Should Drew proceed with this plan, we fear that Curtis might succumb to the requests of his previous friend. Despite loving Portia, Curtis would likely assist Drew in order to protect their daughter, Trina (played by Tabyana Ali), from suffering due to her mother’s behavior.
As far as Curtis’ marriage, we think that ship is setting sail. Portia has lied to him multiple times, and now that her lies threaten to blow up his life, this is all probably too much for him to deal with. But hey, should he become single and with (Jordan Tanisha Harper) already on the market, perhaps the exes will soon reunite. Portia may want to stock up on the tissues, because we predict lots of tears in her near future.
