The whole scenario turned into something akin to a thrilling monster movie featuring K2. It truly stood out as quite impressive.”

The most sassy robot transformed into a horrifying killing machine out in the vastness of space. Think

, except this time it features a KX unit pursuing hapless rebels through dimly lit passageways. It had the potential to become one of those episodes that would have kept fans buzzing for many years—had it not been canceled due to financial constraints.
“We could not afford to do it,” Gilroy admitted. “It was made clear that it was out of the range, so we had to abandon that and consolidate things.”
