Yellowstone Lives On: New CBS Spinoff Unveiled!

A well-known figure has returned to their role in the newest update.

The universe appeared far from complete. After speculation circulated earlier this spring about an upcoming sequel series being developed, CBS verified this week that Luke Grimes’ character Kayce Dutton will lead the newest addition.

initiation, occurring after the conclusion of the series finale.

Y: Marshals,
entails Kayce Dutton abandoning his life as a ranch hand and utilizing his Navy SEAL expertise as part of the U.S. Marshals service.
On Wednesday, May 7, Entertainment Weekly made the announcement.
Grimes is returning to her role and will also serve as an executive producer along with the show’s creator.

Dutton’s latest career endeavor comes after he sold off a substantial portion of the Yellowstone Ranch in the original series’ final episode. Alongside Dutton’s newest U.S. Marshals teammates, the series will center around his balancing act of family obligations and professional duties, as well as the strains of the profession, according to Entertainment Weekly.

A production featuring Michelle Pfeiffer that follows the McIntosh family as they move from New York City to central Montana. Paramount initially outlined these series plans in May 2023, but an official release date has not been announced yet.

Another prequel is apparently being developed, focusing on Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, who are the daughter and son-in-law of Kevin Costner’s character, John Dutton. It remains unclear whether they will also make an appearance.
