Taylor Swift’s $400 Million Controversy Reaches a Tipping Point: New Developments Unveiled

Even Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs, has seen his name dragged into the highly controversial legal dispute between Blake Lively and her “It Ends With Us” co-star Justin Baldoni.

Back in December, Lively
filed a lawsuit
Against Baldoni, claiming he sexually harassed her during the production of their film. Baldoni strongly refuted these allegations and countered by filing a lawsuit against Lively seeking $400 million in damages for defamation and other claims.

In a surprising development, Kelce is said to have reported
unfollowed Lively’s husband
, Ryan Reynolds, on Instagram recently
rumors of a rift
Between Swift and Lively. A prior report indicated that Swift had been
“seeking support from Kelce
during this trying time.”

In one of Baldoni’s legal documents, it is stated that Lively attempted to use Swift’s name to persuade him into making alterations to their movie as per Lively’s preferences. According to allegations made by Baldoni, Swift was also at a post-production discussion held in Lively’s Manhattan residence.

Lively’s legal team has now spoken out about Swift’s involvement in the case, which reportedly includes Swift potentially
being subpoenaed in court
to respond to inquiries while under oath.

In an exclusive interview with
People
, Lively’s attorney, Mike Gottlieb, confirmed that Lively is expected to take the stand as a witness in her upcoming trial. Gottlieb also addressed the reports about Swift, along with other celebrities such as Reynolds’ “Deadpool” co-star Hugh Jackman, potentially appearing in court as well.

It’s entirely ambiguous how any of these celebrities’ claims or defenses in this case relate to anything,” Gottlieb told People exclusively. “The focus here is solely on what occurred with Blake Lively after she brought forward allegations of sexual harassment during filming. This legal matter isn’t concerned with song selection for the movie nor does it revolve around fictional Marvel characters featured in the ‘Deadpool’ series.

Although Gottlieb didn’t explicitly affirm or reject the idea of Swift testifying, he cast doubt on Baldoni’s assertions and criticized the choice to involve Swift in the controversy.

You must inquire, therefore, as to why these individuals are receiving subpoenas,” Gottlieb went on. “Is their connection to the current case substantial enough? One cannot issue subpoenas merely due to celebrity status with hopes of garnering significant media attention. Such actions are not condoned by the federal courts.

For what it’s worth, reports have indicated that Swift was
“really hurt”
Because of the whole scenario, and acknowledging that “she didn’t take it lightly,” Swift and Lively have apparently reconciled and managed to “overcome” their disagreement.

Be that as it may, this does not take away from the fact that Swift could still be questioned under oath for her role in this legal dispute.
