Excitedly, Chalamet rose from his chair when his name echoed through the venue as the recipient of the David Award for Cinematic Excellence during the David di Donatello Awards ceremony held in Rome on Wednesday evening.
But when he leaned in to his girlfriend for quick peck, the “Call Me By Your Name” star clearly missed Jenner’s cue for a second kiss and left her hanging, according to footage from the ceremony.

Audiences swiftly reacted to the omission, expressing their vicarious discomfort regarding the incident.
