NEW HOPE, PA — Audiences are in for a wickedly entertaining afternoon and evening of showstoppers when Bucks County Playhouse welcomes Broadway stars Alli Mauzey and Alyssa Fox to the stage with
“Good Witch Bad Witch.”
The production will have just two shows on Saturday, June 7th at 1:30 PM and 7:30 PM.
Mauzey and Fox, known for their roles as Glinda and Elphaba in the Broadway production of “Wicked,” deliver strong vocal performances, engaging repartee, and theatrical enchantment to the Playhouse stage with this concert that has captivated crowds across the country. This family-oriented event is included in the Playhouse’s Visiting Artists Series, showcasing renowned national talents alongside its ongoing Mainstage productions.
This year’s Mainstage season includes “The Apple Boys,” running through May 25, and “Leader of the Pack: The Ellie Greenwich Musical,” running June 20 through July 20, as well as “She Loves Me” running from Aug. 15 to Sept. 14, and finally, “Elf: The Musical” from Nov. 21 to Jan. 4.
Most recently, Mauzey performed on Broadway in “Kimberly Akimbo,” where she played the role of Pattie and won a Tony Award for her performance. She has previously been part of several notable Broadway productions including playing Glinda in “Wicked,” Ernestina in “Hello, Dolly!”; Lenora in “Cry-Baby”, earning herself both a Theater World Award and a Drama League nod; Brenda in “Hairspray”; and making a special guest appearance in “Kristin Chenoweth: For the Girls”. Additionally, some of her performances within New York encompassed roles such as in “The Golden Apple” and “It’s a Bird… It’s a Plane… It’s Superman” staged at New York City Center Encores, along with an Off-Broadway turn in “Red Eye of Love.”
She has made regional appearances in productions such as “City of Angels” at Reprise in Los Angeles, “110 in the Shade” at Pasadena Playhouse, and “Little Shop of Horrors” at The Muny, earning herself a nomination for a Kevin Kline Award for her role in the latter.
Fox gained recognition primarily through her role as Elphaba in the musical “Wicked” on Broadway, even headlining their 20th-anniversary show. Having been involved in this production for fourteen years, she started off as an understudy at the San Francisco branch before transitioning into various lead roles both touring nationally and performing on Broadway. Additionally, she lent her voice to the soundtrack of the forthcoming “Wicked” movie adaptation. Furthermore, Fox played the character Elsa in Disney’s “Frozen,” concluding the run with the final cast of the nationwide tour and originating the role.

She has additional credits for her work in “Frozen” at North Shore Music Theatre, “Cats” presented by Starring Buffalo, as well as in “Disney Princess – The Concert,” and she has made several appearances with Disney Concerts. Additionally, she took part in NPR’s “Tiny Desk Concert,” performing alongside “Wicked”‘s composer Stephen Schwartz and McKenzie Kurtz.
