Prior to his involvement with the music production for Netflix’s highly successful animated show, Seaver mentioned that he was composing tunes for Riot Games, the video game developer. It was then that writer Christian Linke took him to “a part of the campus I hadn’t explored before.”

When he invited us to participate, we felt as though it were a fantasy come true. His passion for music has always been evident since day one. Additionally, the work done by the French animation studio Fortice is truly delightful. We found immense pleasure in diving into that unexpected journey.

One of the most appealing aspects about the gig has been working with big artists like Sting, Imagine Dragons and Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park to create the soundtrack for the series that follows League champions Vi and Jinx as they become caught in a power struggle between the utopian city of Piltover and the oppressed underground city of Zaun.

Our team aimed to create a substantial, custom, one-of-a-kind soundtrack featuring popular songs performed by major pop stars. Unlike previous projects where we composed material beforehand and made adjustments later, they wanted us to compose the musical scores for these songs specifically for the visuals,” clarified Seaver, who acts as the show’s lead music producer. “Every lyric was intended to come directly from the perspective of the characters themselves or someone observing the scenes. It needed to integrate seamlessly throughout.
