Any Marvel comic with The Blob
Although not entirely representative of everything Lubbock offers, Fred J. “The Blob” Dukes from the X-Men hails from this city. His connection to Lubbock played an integral role in shaping his character, leading to the town being referenced in both
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
and X-Men: Apocalypse. Sadly, his brief appearance was only a cameo.
