The MCU has featured him since 2011 with “Thor” and more recently in the Disney+ show “Hawkeye” in 2021. Now, he is poised to take part in director Rian Johnson’s forthcoming murder mystery movie. During a recent podcast appearance, he likened “Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery” to a Marvel project when discussing it.
Renner admitted, though, that he’s “not sure what the heck he did” during it.

During his appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Renner mentioned, “I’m not sure. Rian is quite an intriguing person. He’s incredibly smart and talented.”

It’s far too gentle for that kind of thing. Plus, he’s a man—nothing fazes him. The thrilling aspect was getting to pull it off, correct?
The primary motivation for doing this was working with Rian. Honestly, it feels like such an incredible blessing, man. I’m genuinely thrilled about seeing…I mean, I can’t wait to witness how everything turns out since honestly, I have no clue. He went on: “I adore this genre. It’s incredibly versatile, offering countless opportunities. However, simultaneously, I have now created three consecutive ones.”
